Parker’s closes it’s Nebraska City location.

After 6 years in business, Emily and I decided to close our Nebraska City location.  It’s sad to lose a restaurant that has been part of our family for so long, but the market down there has never been very strong for us.  This will allow us to focus all of our attention on Lincoln and Ashland.

We’ve been in business for 10 years now and still have much to learn.  We started with our Lincoln location, then added Ashland.  Thinking we had something going, we put a steakhouse in Mahoney State Park, then tried a location in Omaha.  We slowly realized running a company is much different than running a restaurant.  We lost a lot of what made us special.

Emily and I look forward to getting back to basics and seeing you daily at one of our two great locations.

Parker’s Smokehouse, which has been at 64th and O streets for nearly nine years, is moving east.

Parker said the lease on his current spot is up at the end of the year, and he decided it was time for a change.
